It’s important to think outside the box and experiment with what works.
Even if the trial and error can be downright torturous
That’s why today’s words of wisdom have more to do with thinking than self-care, as a healthy brain needs to be constantly challenged in order to continue to grow. With that in mind, my advocation to you is to try out some “framework thinking”, which entails coming up with structures of thought that can be utilized in a multitude of ways, and not just hyper specifically applied to a single scenario.
The framework thinking itself, if stressed tested correctly, will ratify its own merits with self-evident ease, and useful in a number of scenarios, thusly proving it’s structurally sound nature. Though this way of thinking can be applied to many different aspects of the every day, I think I concocted the notion of it when I was considering the meta-game of Smash Bros. When pondering what the most effective combat strats for Smash involved, I realized upon further examination, one of the key differences between a good strategy and an excellent strategy, was “positioning”, and with even further consideration, had even more realizations about how just across the board this approach was. Extending my thoughts on the matter lead me to consider the applications even just beyond Smash, (which in and of itself has quite the varied roster), but the meta’s of many other games, even outside of the fighting genre, too. Yet, the framework remained sturdy with a sound structure, and offered itself to a litany of projects involving strategies within the virtual realm.
Considering how easy it was to build off of this framework thinking in a myriad of effective ways, I figured it would be wise to share my insight, and maybe even dive deeper into it at some point in the future.
In the mean time, take care of yourself, and others.
