Which is why my words of wisdom today involve “Appreciating the Spectrum(s)”, as I think it’s vital in understanding reality at large, something I was reminded of in my investigation into the cosmic unknown. More often then not, people fail to take the time to appreciate the grand spectrum(s) that make up the multitude of the everyday, in all of their varied glory. Life is rarely compromised of just black and white thinking, and if you take the time to consider the rich tapestry of metaphysical quilt that helps to make up the texture of our moment to moment, you’ll realize just how much contextual texture varies at any given time.

While it is true some elements of quanta can be reduced into a digital state of consideration, as in they either are or aren’t, quite often, youll find a far greater richness to the idea that life itself is contingent upon the notion of being analog, and once something is, there is a great level of worth in considering just what kind of “is” we are dealing with, and a whole nother field of ratifications to consider after the fact. Is this thing old? How old? From what time period? Is the entity in question purple? What kind of purple? Does it possess intelligence? What kind of intelligence? By how much? How are we measuring these quantifications? What caliber of tools are we using? Are the tests of measurement sound? What classification of data are we referencing? Is this thing more than one singular thing? Can it be multiple? Is it a kind of thing that can morph and transform, never truly being a single thing at one time? All of these considerations and more can help us discern the dimensions of identification that help to create the bigger picture.

While I do consider “Appreciating the spectrum(s)” a key part of problem solving in a way, the problem solving I’m referring to is more of a broad notion, in the way of referencing how to understand life, reality, and even existence itself in more effective, fundamental ways to be part of the problem to be tackled. And just like in reference to set theory, not only can you have different kinds of sets, like even different kinds of infinity, you can even have sets in sets, just like you can have spectrums within spectrums, so there is often much greater lengths one can go, in truly understanding any given element at any given time. So next time you’re stopping to consider something, consider at least one spectrum it may fall upon, where it may fall upon it, and then take a step further and even consider if there is yet another spectrum beyond the first that you may have yet to consider. You may be delightfully surprised.
