The vibe continues to deteriorate

I’m always saying it’s all about perspective
The title of my post is more of a functional reminder to myself then anything else, as I’m struggling to keep a motivated mentality amidst a large heap of bullshit doing its damnedest to keep me completely drained of energy, so small victories and quick heads up on how to take it easy and just enjoy myself are vital in the process.
To wit; I had a couple of article ideas I wanted to more full explore today, not the least of which was some kind of write up involving the fact that Gamescom is in full swing, but I barely found the gumption to peel myself off of my bed to get shit done today, so a quick posit was the way to be. Feels like just yesterday I was discussing some of the more interesting threads that were being weaved the last time Gamescom came around, but the time I’m remembering was in fact, last year, not yesterday.I just have to keep reminding myself that, due to stress among other factors, my space time continuum is seemingly perpetually warped, with my perspective of time completely dysfunctional and divergent with the rest of reality, C’est la vie.
With all of that said, Ubisoft shadow dropped Rogue Prince of Persia for most platforms (PC, Xbox(s), PlayStation(s)), and will even eventually see some Switch(s) love. It was released in early access last year to not much fanfare outside of the hardcore wise enough to know, buts Ubisoft’ss consistent lack of marketing for the Prince of Persia series has me half convinced they wish to mercilessly brutalize the game series out of existence with the abusive lack of support they seem to give it.
While I haven’t played the game yet (started the download right before writing this), I have two reasons that compel me to suggest grabbing the title, in spite of not having played it. One, I think the gaming world is a better place with the Prince of Persia series still existing within it, so outside of releasing literal dumpster fire iterations on the regular, the franchise deserves to live to see another day. Two, it was developed by the same devs that did Dead Cells, which absolutely rocks, and sets an excellent precedent ahead of trying the game that it will be furiously pumping on all cylinders.
With all of that said, and the game being free to download on gamepass and thirty bucks for everyone else, I’m guessing it will be a worthy investment. I’ll be sure to do my part, and commit to an article of some kind in the near future.
Cheers.
